Five things we’re looking forward to at the FRA Conference next week
The Farm Retail Association Conference takes place next week, and the team here at The EPOS Bureau is busy making plans to ensure we get the most out of the three days in Birmingham.
Here are the five things we’re most looking forward to – and, if you’re planning on attending, make sure you drop by to say hello.
Networking with our customers
Events like the FRA Conference are brilliant for a number of reasons – including giving us the chance to literally talk shop with our customers. Of course, we see each other now and again and speak on the phone or on video calls, but there’s nothing better than having a proper face-to-face chat about everything from farm shops to families – it’s genuinely a highlight of any event, and WE. CANNOT. WAIT!
Soaking up expert knowledge, insights and advice
Another highlight of the FRA Conference next week is the brilliant array of guest speakers. Here at The EPOS Bureau HQ, there are some pretty strong negotiations happening – who’s going to stay on our stand (19-20, by the way) and who’s getting to see who. At the top of our list is Paul Hargreaves from Cotswold Fayre as well as Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones, ‘The Black Farmer’ – while there’s a whole host of other speakers who’ll leave everyone feeling inspired and ready to tackle the world!
We’ve got prizes to give away. Loads of them!

Meeting the greats of the industry at the Awards night!
OK, so this is legitimately one of our favourite nights of the year. The Farm Retail Awards Gala Dinner, on 12 March, is a glam evening celebrating and acknowledging the best of the best in our industry. There is a drinks reception, a three-course meal, networking, entertainment and, of course, the presentation of the coveted Farm Retail Awards for 2025. Best of all, we get to meet everyone from the industry you could possibly want to – so get your networking (and dancing) shoes on!
